Cairn Leuchan Loops
Black (not for Beginners due to steep descents with drop offs rocks and bomb holes)
|
Cairn Leuchan loops are four down hill routes with the same climb to get to them. The start of the climb is on the left side of the Junction for Loch Muick at the Bridge of Muick, this is also where you can walk to climb Mount Keen ( the most Easterly Munro for you Munro Baggers). You climb up the North side of Craig Vallich on a land rover track, at the junction for mount Keen take the first track on the left and loop round on to Panninach Hill, the down hill drops west down with the Craig Coillich forest on your right. For the rest of the loops take the right hand track to the top of Cairn Leuchan then heading North, the 2nd down hill is second on the right, the 3rd down hill is on the fifth on the right, and the 4th down hill is the seventh on the right. for more information for this or any of the routes on this site, The club or contact Liz Richard or Jim at Cyclehighlands. |
