Below are a list of the rules when Mountain Biking as a 9 Zero Freewheeler.

 

1, Helmets must be worn on all rides and must be fitted and adjusted correctly.

2, Bikes must be suitable for the ride and properly maintained.

3, The club reserves the right to withdraw membership of any member who behaves in a manner that brings the club or the sport into disrepute.

4, Mountain biking is a potentially hazardous and strenuous sport, you are a member of the 9 Zero Freewheelers Mountain Bike club because you are an enthusiast but do not ride beyond your ability and endurance. 

5, Always come equipped with suitable clothing, spares, refreshments and a fully charged mobile phone and spare change for emergencies.

Don’t worry if you are not a dab hand at bike repairs as amongst us all we have years of experience

6, It is each member’s responsibility to carry any medication needed for any condition and should inform fellow riders of special assistance.

7, All members are encouraged to have an ICE number programmed into their mobile phone.

ICE = In Case of Emergency.

8, Always close gates behind you, even though your mate is behind somewhere.

9, Always take all rubbish home with you, including fruit skins, peels or seeds.

10, Always gave way to pedestrians, Dog, horses and vehicles bigger then you.

11, If you go out alone, Always tell someone where you are heading and the approximate time you should be back.

12,You must never deliberately scare wild animals, or birds, always follow the countryside code.
