Glen Taner and Birse forests are both a maze of land rover and single tracks, some of them not on a map, Good if you have time to explore with a map and compass or go with a local who knows the best parts for Mountain bikes. One the Clubs favourites is on Os Landranger Map No 44 would be Up the Firmounth and Down the Fungle taking in the single track down to the Guard and another single track along the North side of the Taner Burn.
