A 9 Zero Freewheeler is someone who is into mountain biking and is a Fire-fighter at Grampian Fire and rescue services, Ballater station 9 Zero, Hence 9 Zero Freewheelers.

Non Fire-fighters can become a member, but must be voted on by the members who are Fire-fighters, and go through some form of ritual humiliation.

To become a 9 Zero Freewheeler you have to,

1/ Attend one Great Drumtochty Challenge, See links.

2/  Tell the Wife/Girlfriend/Boyfriend In front of another members, when told to come shopping,

"Bog of am Gan Bikin" the bog of can be replaced with anything stronger.

3/ You must take verbal abuse from all other members, and give it.

4/ You must not be interested in Golf, or Cricket.
